چکیده
Abstract In this work, two palladium-based catalysts with either ZSM-5 or Zeolite Y as support material are tested for their performance in selective catalytic reduction of NOx hydrogen (H 2 -SCR). The ligh-toff measurements synthetic exhaust gas mixtures typical combustion engines supplemented by detailed catalyst characterization comprising N physisorption, X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), temperature programmed -TPR) and ammonia desorption (NH 3 -TPD). Introducing 10% 20% TiO into the formulations reduced surface area number acidic sites both catalysts, however, more severely Y-supported catalysts. higher reducibility Pd particles that was uncovered H -TPR resulted an improved during light-off substantially boosted NO conversion. Upon exposition to humid gas, ZSM-5-supported showed a significant drop performance, whereas kept high levels conversion while shifting selectivity from O toward NH . 1%Pd/20%TiO /HY subject work outperforms one most active benchmark formulations, 1%Pd/5%V 5 /20%TiO -Al , making promising -SCR allow efficient NOx-removal gases originating hydrogen-fueled engines.

Exhaust Emission Analysis of an Internal Combustion Engine Fuelled with Hydrogen-Ethanol Dual Fuel
The work presented in this paper is an attempt to evaluate the exhaust emission characteristics of a hydrogen-ethanol dual fuel combination with different percents of hydrogen substitutions (i.e. 0-80 % by volume and of 20 % increment ) at three different compression ratios of 7:1, 9:1 and 11:1. Experimental investigations have been carried out on a computer interfaced with; four-stroke cycle, ...
متن کاملSelective Catalytic Reduction: Exhaust aftertreatment for reducing nitrogen oxide emissions
Ways to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions In order to comply with the increasingly tough emission standards worldwide, engine manufacturers are forced not only to substantially reduce emissions of particulate matter (PM), but also emissions of nitrogen oxides. The main approach pursued by MTU is low-emission combustion, in other words an internal engine solution. However, this means taking into a...
متن کاملCatalytic converters for exhaust emission control of commercial equipment powered by internal combustion engines.
The development of PTX, monolithic catalytic exhaust purifiers, is outlined, and their first use for exhaust emissions control of commercial equipment is described. The main use of PTX converters is on forklift trucks. The purification achievable with PTX-equipped fork-lift trucks under various operational conditions is discussed, and examples from the field are given. During more than ten year...
